I still remember a little song I learned long ago in girl scouts:

Make new friends,
but keep the old,
one is silver,
and the other's gold

A circle's round,
it has no end,
that's how long
I want to be your friend

And of course, there's the famous quote,
"Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."

So this box is for all the new letterboxing friends I've made since coming to Tucson, as well as my old friends from Denver. And if you're a stranger, it's also for you, friend!

Driving directions:
Box is at Highland Vista Park. Google can't (yet) find it, but you can search for 'Highland Vista pool' and you'll be nearly there. Take 5th street to Woodland Vista road (between Craycroft and Rosemont). Turn south on Woodland Vista, follow the dogleg west on 7th street half a block, and get back on Woodland Vista. Follow this along the park, and park at the south end, (between 9th and 10th streets is good).

Box clue:
There is a big sign/map that explains why the park was created. Start here. Head southwest to the bench area under the trees. If there are muggles sitting here, you'll want to come back later. When standing between the two benches, look for a rock & shrub at approximately 220˚ (SW), about 12 steps away. The box is on the west side of that rock. The easiest way to grab the box might be to sit on the rock facing southwest (away from the park), then reach your right arm down along the rock. The shrub hiding it is prickly, so be careful! The box should be covered by a couple long, flat, rocks.

Notes:
The box is nearly impossible to see when standing right next to it. But if you're sitting on the bench, it can be clearly visible. Please make extra sure the side facing the benches has a rock covering it.
