Status of Letterbox: 6/27/05 Alive, but someone moved to new location.
The "Happy Sun" Letterbox is located in PJSP near Morrilton, Arkansas, at the bottom of the Cedar Falls Trail. Look at my info on the "Petit Panda" clues for more info on this State Park.
Directions:
From I-40, go south on Hwy 9 through Morrilton to Hwy 154. Turn right and go to the Park. Stop at the visitor center for a map, then continue on to Mather Lodge. Park here and go to trail head, which is on other side of lodge breezeway.
To the Letterbox: Decend the Cedar Falls Trail to Cedar Creek. Cross the bridge to the west side. Go LEFT onthe trail which is heading to the Blue Hole (later you will want to go right to Cedar Falls to enjoy a great waterfall) for 75 paces from the bridge *** to a tree on the right side with yellow blaze on it*** - this tree seems to be missing now, or box moved farther along trail after the tree. Person who found said it was about 75 steps, but no tree. Is under large rock. Be sure to re-cover it well!!!
