The Oshkosh Public Museum is a wonderful city and regional museum with lots of permanent displays and months long temporary exhibits that are of interest to young and old alike. There is a small entrance fee and hours are Tues-Sat 10-4:30, Sun 1-4:30.

Please check with their website for current information:
http://www.oshkoshmuseum.org

Find the museum at the corner of Algoma Blvd and Congress Ave in Oshkosh.
Upon entering and paying the entrance fee, find one of the museum's signature displays, that is best viewed at the top of every hour.

After visiting this room, turn toward the doors and exit through the left short hallway. You should find a portrait of the museum's first director. Find the artist's birth year and note the last number: A____

Next continue out into the main hallway with the grand staircase. Going past this to the left, you will find the Den. On the wall is a quote from the Oshkosh Daily Northwestern about the Sawyer Residence. Note the day of the month that this article was written. B:_____

Go back and head up stairs via the grand staircase. Take a right at the top of the stairs, then another into the first room on the right (the Sawyer Exhibit 1). In the middle of the first glass case display to the right upon entering the room, are two objects. One has a date from 1870-1890 and was used in a school. The other from 1880-1939 was used at a courthouse. Note what these objects are. C:______

Please explore from here, there are many wonderful permanent and temporary exhibits on this floor. While looking around, you should be on the lookout for AB_C. Once you find it, take a seat with your back to the window, reach down next to the wall on the right for your prize.
