Goldthwaite is a small city on the northern edge of the Texas Hill Country. It is the county seat of Mills County. In the fall and winter Goldthwaite is a popular place with hunters seeking white-tailed deer.
To the box: Go south out of Goldthwaite on HWY 16 toward San Saba. About 1.5 miles from the center of town on the right hand side it the Goldthwaite Cemetery. Enter the cemetery go around the flag poles to the second drive on the left. Go up the hill to marker for McKenzie on the right. Park here. Walk past McKenzie past two cedar. One a tree the other more of a bush to the marker for Stark.
Look for the box inside the cedar bush under a rock.
