Park at Sanderson Academy by the swings.
Follow the path down to the soccer fields, staying to the left side of the ponds. Find the Ashfield trails sign.
Go across the boardwalk and follow the trail passing by the well on the right. The trail turns to the right and keep going straight for a few hundred feet as you pass under hemlocks. On the left there will be a fallen birch in the shape of a triangle, and on the right is a path marked by a small stone cairn and wood duck box on a tree. Take this path, go over the small boardwalk bridge. You will pass a small stick lean to on the right. Go under the arc of a broken tree over the trail. Notice a hemlock on the right with a white blaze and just before that, take a left off the trail into a shrubby area. You should be facing a dead tree in the shape of a Y. Look to the left of the tree and there is a dead log with a hole in it covered with leaves. There is a pricker bush next to it don’t get caught.

This is the very first box placed by Ashfield Brownies who suggested these hints.
