GO and Experiment! - Radiation LbNA #66932 (ARCHIVED)

This letterbox is part of the GO and Experiment! program. It will be available from June 1, 2014 - August 17, 2014. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

Through the GO and Experiment! program, you will be searching for "scientific terms" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into your GO and Experiment! rubbing page, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at John H. Beakes Park (Peach Bottom Township). GO York level of difficulty = Easy

 Start your adventure from the 2nd gravel parking area.
 Locate and walk up the steps toward baseball field #3.
 Walk counter clockwise field #3. You should pass a flagpole.
 Continue walking until you arrive at a storage container that has a mural painted on the other side.
 Turn right and walk past the mural, keeping field #4 on your left.
 Along the treeline, you should notice a green shed. The post you seek is nearby.
 Return to your vehicle by walking past the mural again and continuing beyond the playground. You may even want to take some time to play there.
