****PLEASE take extra caution removing and replacing letterboxes as the park is closely monitored and is not aware of the boxes.****

This area is full of opportunity. If you want to just get the stamps, you could easily be done in an hour. If you have more time, bring fishing gear and fixin's for the charcoal grills. You will also end near a playground our kids have deemed the best around.

These stamps were carved entirely by our kids in the hope that families will bring their kids to this great park! Enjoy!

Box #1…Oshawott: Enter Dillon Dam @ Dillon Dam Rd. just north of Zanesville on SR146. This entrance is not well marked, but is near The Storage Center mini storage. Follow Dillon Dam Rd. around and continue on the long straight stretch across the dam towards the dam tower. Park and stand at the top of the steps leading to the base of the steps. You will find little Oshawott hiding under the left side of the 16th step here on his was down to the water to find an opponent. There is a large rock leaning against the steps here that may help you find the location.

Box #2...Bulbasaur: Once you have seen the sights, jump back in your ride and return the way you came. Once you cross back over the dam, you will see a playground on your left. Hold on kids…not yet…there is something really cool to see before you give the playground a try! Once you are level with the playground, you will make a left on the little road here. This road passes behind the playground and will lead you through the spillway of the dam! Follow it through the spillway (looks like you are going to drive off of a cliff but don’t fear, the road continues). At the bottom of the spillway, bear right. Continue to the small parking lot. Park and walk to the right towards the chain link fence. How cool is this? Depending on the time, the water level can be lower a somewhat calm or high and furious here! Be sure to hold on to little ones so they don’t slip! Once you are done checking out the water, stand with your back to the back west corner of the bench closest to the water exiting the dam. Walk 53 degrees NE for 18 paces towards a triangular rock in front of a large rust-colored rock. You will find Bulbasaur taking a little nap here. Hiking through all of those rocks makes a pokemon tired! Careful…don’t wake him up or he might use his RAM attack on you!

Box #3...Pikachu: Has anyone seen little Pikachu yet? Where could the little guy be? We heard through the grapevine that someone saw him near a “fishin’ hole” earlier. Jump in your car and head back the way you came. When you reach the point where you would turn left to return up the spillway, turn right instead. Continue into the parking lot and park near the little restroom building. This area is great for fishing, picnics, and grilling if you have time and gear. If not, walk towards the small dock and take the path to the right around the water. Notice the birdhouses on the right between you and the Licking River below the dam. The birdhouse area usually isn’t mowed, but the area beyond them is. Leave the path in this mowed area around the left side of the birdhouses and continue towards the river. Notice 6 large stones spaced far apart along the river. You will find little Pikachu hiding under the “Big Toe” of the 6th rock.

Box #4...Emolga: Is it time to play yet? Not yet, but we do want to return to the playground now. Take a drive back up the spillway. Park all the way on the right facing the playground. Go to the fitness trail across the road by passing through the gate on your right. Follow the path and turn right BEFORE the little garden and right again on the actual trail. In the distance you will see three pine trees near a utility area. Careful! Emolga is ready to give you a shock at eye level on the back of the middle tree.
