Status of Microbox: Reported missing 1/5/05, but not confirmed.
The "Southern Magnolia" microbox is located in the Calliham Unit of Choke Canyon State Park, on the Bird Trail. This park offers fishing, camping, hiking, picnicing, boating, and much more.
Directions:
From I-37, go west on Hwy 72 to the Calliham Unit turn off on the right. Go to the entry booth, pay fee and get map, then go to the start of the Bird Trail at the dump station (look for trailer dumping symbol on map).
To the Microbox:
From the Birding sign, take the path under the arch, and go 105 paces. Stop. Look Northeast at 60 degrees for a large tree with a burnt bottom. The microbox is on the left (west) side of the base of this tree, under bark pieces and a rock on top.
