Osprey Marsh is a Sippican Lands Trust parcel. Travel east along Route 6 from Marion to the first stop light. Go right on Point Road. Osprey Marsh is about 3 miles out Point Road on the right. It is clearly marked and has a parking area.
Walk into the property through the fence. Follow the path about 1/2 mile to the marsh. You are now on the edge of Planting Island Cove. Enjoy the view. Turn and start back from the cedar tree on the right (south) at the edge of the marsh. Walk 15 paces. On your left (north) you will see a two-trunked tree. The letter box is in the base of the tree covered with a large tree limb and small sticks. Please replace it carefully. The box was placed by Grandma, Grandpa, Michael and Laura.
Note: the whale stamp is a partner with the whale stamp of nearby Howland Marsh letterbox. There are letterboxes on three other Sippican Lands Trust sites off Point Road.
