Alert: This box may be missing, I will check as soon as possible. 6/24/16 The D&L Trail is a 165 mile Rails to Trails that winds through NEPA.
It is 7.5 miles to Moosehead from the north trailhead, you will want to ride a bike, but I hiked it in 2:20, less coming back, it is a less traveled part of the trail and why I like it.
The North trailhead is in White Haven. Take exit 273 off of I-80, follow Rt. 940 East into the town, at the stop sign, turn right a couple blocks down take a LEFT onto Main St. At the end is the parking area.
Start at the 129 mile marker. You will come to a RR crossing, this is Middleburg Rd. Make a Left, be careful of traffic! A little way up you will see the trail on your right.
At 136.5 you will see picnic tables, relax there a while enjoy the lake. When you are ready and clear of muggles, go back to where the lake begins. On your left you will see a path going up a hill. To the left of the path is a snuggling 2 tree look behind for the SPOR.
