The Concho River in San Angelo is home to fresh water mussels that produce fresh water pearls. This river is the only known location of these mussels.
To locate the box make your way to the Clarion Hotel at 441 Rio Concho Dr. There is on the street parking across from the hotel for the Concho River walk. Park there and go left following the river walk to Rio Concho Park. The river trail turns right before Massey Funeral Home. There are distance markers at 1 1/4 marker pause and look for a tree to the left of the trail. What you seek is hidden there. Retrieve and walk on to the bench where you can comfortably stamp the log. Please rehide the box as found.
