(Please note that this is not my box. I was asked to put the clues online by the Brownie Girl Scout Troop)
Placer: Brownie Girl Scouts Troop #10207
Mill Woods Park, Wethersfield, CT
Drive in to the back of the park and park near the pavilion. The ‘Loretta’s Dream Pavillion’ was constructed in 2014 by the Foundation set up in the memory of local resident Loretta Nakos Pemble, who died of breast cancer. It was built as a way for friends and family to get together and enjoy the outdoors, and our Brownie troop did just that!
Look toward the trail behind the trees, so that the pond is on your right (you might see some swans there like we did!)
At the curve in the trail, look for the biggest tree on your left – the one with outstretched arms.
On the ground to the left of that tree, you will find a large rock that hides the secret to the ‘Butterfly Brownie’ letterbox! Our Brownie troop hid the letterbox as part of earning a badge, but we would also like to dedicate this letterbox to the men and women who built the Loretta’s Dream pavilion in her honor and gave groups like ours a new place to meet!
