Otis Smith Farm
* The entrance has a very small sign. Park on the side of Scott Road.
*15 minute walk to box but trail continues; not stroller friendly
1 . Begin walking on the path. Trees are marked with yellow paint to let you know you are going the right way.
2. You will see a rocky ledge along the left side of the trail as you walk uphill to the left, following the yellow marked trees. The path might be hard to see but you keep that rocky ledge to your left.
3. Once you reach the top of the hill, continue downhill and then pass over some downed trees.
4. Next, pass through an area of ferns along both sides of the path.
5. As you begin to walk uphill again, notice, on the right, a tree covered with fungi.
6. To the left of that tree, on the other side of the path, look up on the hill for a “Y” shaped tree with a poison ivy vine climbing it. There is a large rock on the left edge of the trail.
7. Under the point of this rock is what you seek. You only need to take two steps off the trail to find the box.
8. Be sure the place the box back where you found it.
