Terrain Difficulty: Easy (slight slope, 0.5 mile RT)
Status: alive
The Stephenson Nature Preserve serves as a sanctuary for native plants and animals, and also contains interesting sculptures. I never saw them but maybe you will after finding this box.
Directions:
From TX 1 go east on William Cannon Dr about 0.5 mile then turn right on Brodie Ln. Go about 0.5 mile, turn left on Harpers Ferry and follow it to Longview Park which contains trails leading into Stephenson Nature Preserve.
Clues:
Walk north past restrooms to first baseball backstop and go on rock trail behind it. Go left at 4-way jct then left again at T jct by a big tree. Go right at next T jct, going past fenced backyard on right, then straight at 4-way jct. Go left at both Y jcts within 10 steps of each other, then at next Y jct where left branch would go down slope, go right 55 steps. Go right off trail 15 steps to old cedar stump. Letterbox is at back base under rocks.
