“ONE OF A KIND” Letterbox
Travel toward the setting sun on Highway 33 into Fox Lake.
"Spring" in the direction the birds migrate for the winter at a tasty place to drive in and dine.

Be sure to count the number of trees at this tasty place. This will be the number of blocks you need to pace.

Along the way tally the black posts that guide you with light. ____________________posts

"Tiffany" will have her “2nd hand” out as a guide. Listen for a TOOT TOOT as you pass "KIDZ" at play.

Turn toward the setting sun once more at the yellow fox and open lot.
Travel to the place that you could hear a rumble and feel a shake if you lived in Fox Lake in 1884-1970. This mini village is an exciting place to learn.
If you have a SMART phone with a QR Code reader, plan to scan the QR code inside the “ONE OF A KIND” letterbox to learn more about this “historical” place.

Don’t stop there you are getting close now. Retrace your steps along the "ties" to a dark gateway for a historical journey. You won’t find a “track” like this anywhere in the world.
Pass through the gate in paces the number of light posts plus 20 around the ghostly path.
To the left and right lie important industrial properties in Fox Lake’s past.

Interesting Fact:
Be sure not to miss the view of the site of Green Giant's Canteen and Cannery. This was a major industry for Fox Lake for canning peas and corn. In 1907 the Fox Lake Canning Company opened and was later purchased by Minnesota Valley in 1947 which became Green Giant in 1950. The industry remained in Fox Lake until 1976 employing 50 year round employees and 600-800 seasonal workers. Behind you, in what is now the Fox Manufacturing building, Green Giant purchased the old casket factory and created a bunk house for the migrant workers.

Continue south on the rocky way.
Your journey is almost through. Just past the “brick” skating rink and bottled water house you will complete your trek.

"Ann" would want you to take care as you enter but stop after the pavement to count 23 paces. It is in that spot you will see 8 willows weeping. The one you seek is in the center of a triangle. The treasure is there waiting for a hunter.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please be discreet, and put your “stamp of approval” on what you’ve found while sitting just down the rocky path. Be sure to place the box in the spot you found it so other treasure hunters can celebrate a successful find.
