Don’t Bug Me

This is a park with many generations of history buried underground in the Indian Mounds. Please be respectful of this ancient burial ground.

Park at the picnic area. At the green water pump, take the trail to your left. Shortly after leaving the picnic area there are several down trees and logs on the left side of the trail. Your first letterbox is located here.

When you get to the panther, check very carefully in the surrounding area. Be careful—the panther might step on the box!

Continue along the path. When you get to the fork, stay to the left which will keep you in the trees. You will follow the winding path until you see the red granite boulder labeled with a “4, 5 and 6”. Head towards 4 and walk about 35 paces. To the right of the trail is small, tight circle of 11 trees. Check here for box number 3.

Follow the path towards the interpretive circle. Right before you get to the circle, there is a pair of trees surrounded by many bushes. Your final box is located here.
