This is a letterbox, not a geocache, so please take nothing in trade and leave no trinkets.
Bring your own ink.

Them ancient Greeks were a kick. For border markers they used herma: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herma named for the Greek god Hermes who the Romans called Mercury. I'm not sure what these triangular markers are in New Mexico but I've seen several, usually along highways near Indian reservation borders. There's another along the east side of Highway 550 just north of mile marker 89 and one on route 6100 west of Kirtland. The one in Kirtland is filled with numbers and place names. Whenever I see one, they remind me of herma.

Driving directions: From Interstate 25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, exit on Highway 550 and head northwest through Bernalillo, Rio Rancho and San Ysidro. After mile marker 28 look for the green Zia Reservation sign. Park on the east side of the highway.

Clue: Boreal from the herma, there is a small four-wing saltbush spor split by the fence.

Thanks for playing.
