There used to be a Prairie Dog town in the State Park at Big Spring, but the fence is broken and the little rodents are gone. I planted a box in their honor.
Make your way to the State Park and drive up the mountain to the headquarters. Park in the area past the headquarters. Take the steps down past the bathroom to a parking area. Cross the parking area and take the nature trail to the road below. Turn left on the road and look for the nature trail on the right. Follow the nature trail. You will go down steps. Look to the right for a rock building. There is a path to the building. Stop at doorway. Look right for a cedar stump. The box is between the stump and the rock building under SPOR.
