American Sniper is a book and movie about Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history with 160 confirmed kills. Chris was a Texan who became a Navy Seal serving four tours in the Iraq War and was awarded several commendations for acts of heroism in combat. His longest successful shot was at an insurgent with a rocket launcher near a United States Army convoy at a range of 2,100 yards (over 1 mile). He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 2009, and was shot and killed at a shooting range on February 2, 2013, near Chalk Mountain, Texas, along with friend Chad Littlefield. The man accused of killing them is awaiting trial for murder. He is buried at Texas State Cemetery, where this box honors him.

Directions:
From I35 go southeast on 11th Street about 0.5 mile to Navasota Street and turn right. Park at visitor center for Texas State Cemetery on the left.

Clues:
Walk through visitor center into cemetery and go right on cement path to Mireles grave on right. Go left across the grass for 17 steps to grave of Chris Kyle on your right near road in center of cemetery. Continue walking across road toward a pond. Cross the bridge and bend left to 2 benches with trash can in between just below rock ledge. Sit on left side of left bench and reach into back side of a bush for the letterbox under a rock and leaves. Please replace as described and be discreet.
