This is not a geocache so please do not take the stamp in trade.
Bring your own ink.

This is planted to give the organizers of the Letterboxing the Four Corners Event http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?eventId=3349 something to do to keep them busy.

Joe Leaphorn is the protagonist of many of Tony Hillerman's novels about a Navajo crime investigator in the Four Corners.

Directions: Park at the Veterans' Memorial entrance to Berg Park at the south end of South Tucker Avenue which can be accessed from San Juan Boulevard. Watch for the brown information signs which will guide you.

Clues: Follow the spirit river upstream from the Veterans' Memorial. When you get to the card game played by North, South, East and West, read the sign about weathered steel. When no one is around, reach down in the gap between bank and steel to extract the magnetic box. It's on the south side of the gap and towards the east.

Please move away to stamp in so as not to attract attention. Please rehide exactly where you found it, down deep enough to not be accidentally found.

Happy hunting.
