Hubie and Bertie are animated cartoon mouse characters in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. Hubie and Bertie represent some of animator Chuck Jones' earliest work that was intended to be funny rather than cute. Jones introduced a permanent "antagonist" of sorts for the mice in Mouse Wreckers. The short was released in 1949 and was the first in which they are officially called "Hubie" and "Bertie". In the cartoon, the duo moves into a new home, only to discover that it is protected by champion mouser Claude Cat (the character's debut), voiced by Mel Blanc. The mice torment the cat both physically and mentally. The short was nominated for an Academy Award.

Hubie and Bertie's hitchhiker hostel is Hubie and Bertie's forever home so please leave them in the box. As for the other stamps they are hitchhikers. Feel free to stamp all the ones in the box and anyone that has a hitchhiker may switch out their hitchhiker with one from the hitchhiker hostel. Take one leave one!

Find your way to the Four Corners City of Farmington New Mexico. Find Main Street and go to the Intersection of Main and Browning Parkway (there is a Chevron station at this intersection). Turn south on Browning Pkwy (516). The first road on the right after crossing the bridge is Burnham Rd. This road leads into the Parking area and the Riverside Nature Center, turn right. Turn right again into the large parking area, you will see a barn to the left and the road Ys off. Stay to the far left and head toward the Riverside Nature Center. There are yellow gates with a parking area to the Nature Center you will have to park here and go on foot. Follow the path past the Nature Center past the Herb and Xeriscape Gardens on the right side, until you come to Rocky Reach Landing. Go to the wooden foot bridge that leads to the wooded area south, cross the bridge from Rocky Reach Landing. There is a chainlink fence, follow the undeveloped (deer) path along the fence past the end of the fence. Go about 125 more steps on the path, it will start to curve to the left. On the left is a ditch and you will see it come to a concrete culvert. You should also see an iron sewer plate on the left. You should be facing another chainlink fence that has high voltage parts that look like they go on power poles on the other side of the fence. I found deer hanging out in this area. Looking on the ground, you'll see a lot of river rocks around, some leading up to this chain link fence. Look to to the right of these rocks leading up to the fence and there is a cluster of trees. The closest cluster to you is of a V-tree and a single that have a bunch of river rocks at the base. The box is at the base of this tree cluster under the rocks. Watch your step the rocks roll from under your feet. The box is BIG so hide it well. You should be far enough off the main path to be able to sit and stamp for awhile.
