In a tessellation, there is repeating. The repeating makes a pattern. The part that repeats is called a "tile". The tiles cover a surface in a symmetrical way without overlapping or leaving gaps. This is a tile of one of my favorite artist M.C. Escher.

To find the Goose and Fish you can go one of 2 ways. First find your way to River Reach Terrace off of San Juan Blvd. You can park in the fenced lot to the very FAR North East end of the lot and take the Nature trail South into the woods to the bridge on the right.
or if you are already in the park,
start from River bend overlook right off the River Reach Terrace. Take the Nature trail on left, follow it to the right, it will curve left away from main trail. Follow the trail down the stairs over the bridge on the left. Once you have crossed the bridge there is an old damaged cottonwood tree right in front of you. It has a ripped side and at the base there is a hollow. I filled the hollow with rocks and placed Osage Girl on top of the rocks. Then used a piece of another broken tree as kind of a cork for the hollow at the base of the tree. So it looks solid but it's really "KNOT" (hehe get it?!) So pull the cork find the little round box and have a seat on the bench nearby to stamp. Please keep an eye out, even though this is a woodland path, people can sneak up on you. Place things back well. Enjoy your hunt.
