Temporarily Unavailable: The muggles that have been infiltrating every corner of the neighborhood during quarantine, cut down a lot of vegetation and built a fort right by where Pi was hiding. It subsequently went missing. So we will have to out-think the muggles and recarve!

LOCATION CHANGED AND CLUE UPDATED SINCE THE ORIGINAL BOX KEPT DISAPPEARING. FIRST FINDER AT THE NEW LOCATION WILL NOTICE A HITCH HIKING NEIGHBOR. THE HITCH HIKER PAYS HOMAGE TO MY CO-PLANTER'S (TRAIL NINJA) FAVORITE SPORT...WHICH JUST HAPPENS TO USE A CIRCULAR ITEM. (Technically it is a cylinder...but its faces are circles.) PLEASE TAKE THE HITCH HIKER - BUT LEAVE THE HIDE-A-KEY BOX THAT IT'S INSIDE OF - FOR US TO RETRIEVE LATER. THANKS!

Whether you love math, or hate it- many people come to appreciate that some things about it will never change. 2 + 2 will always equal 4. A square will always have 4 sides. You should always use a pencil when doing Math problems, and ……circles are wonderful shapes! (Okay, so maybe that is not exactly a fact, but….I think it should be!) No matter how big the circle is (like, say the equator) or how small (say a bottle cap) there is something that will be true about them ALL: If you divide their circumference (the distance around the edge of the circle) by their diameter (the distance from one side of a circle, straight through the center to the other side) you get pi!! No- not piE (although I really like the apple variety myself), but pi. It’s the number 3.141592653 (roughly). The value actually continues on forever without repeating or forming a pattern, and has been calculated to over a trillion digits so far. Since the first few digits also correlate to the date 3/14, that has become known as National Pi Day. We planted this box in its honor, which is ESPECIALLY cool this year 3-14-15!! Since there aren’t any pie shops around, we thought a circle might be a good place for the plant location!

Turn off MD 75 into a development called the “Meadows at New Market”. BE SURE TO HEED THE SPEED LIMIT! Proceed along Meadow Way (the main road in the neighborhood) until you reach the stop sign at Barngate CIRCLE. Turn right and proceed around Barngate Circle until you see a small pavilion on the right. Park here. Go inside the pavilion and find the NW corner. On the North side of that corner, look on the exterior of the fascia. [There is a large rock that will help if you are vertically challenged like me! ;)] In the groove of the copper trim you should see the hide-a-key box. Be sure to bring your own ink pad or marker. This community has a Neighborhood Watch program, so if questioned-just say you are on a treasure hunt....that usually suffices. After replacing, you can continue on Barngate Circle until it brings you back to Meadow Way. Enjoy!
