This is not a geocache so please do not take the stamps in trade and leave no trinkets.
Bring your own ink.

Warnings: Nut container used so allergic folks avoid this one. This is cougar and bear country so follow the advice on the signage at the trail head. There may be rattlers as well. I'd bring water but there's a porty potty up top.

Driving directions: From the intersection of I-25 and I-40 in Albuquerque, proceed east towards Santa Rosa and exit at Tramway. Turn right at the light on Tramway and then left very quickly at the light on Central. Go straight on state road 330, Old Route 66 and do not veer to the left. After mile marker 4 you'll see the sign for the Musical highway. Go 45 mph, stay in your lane and rumble strips built in the road will make your car play a melody. After mile marker 6 turn left under the interstate onto Carlito Springs Road then take a right and take the next left onto the gravel entryway to the open space. After a short while you'll come to the parking area for the trail head.

Clues: From the forest information sign, take the trail to the left to Carlito Springs or to the right but then you'll do lots of looping around to get to the same place. Hike half a mile along the tiny brook, across two bridges and through an old orchard to the two-wheel entry to the springs area. Occidentally along the upper road, past the prickly partridge tree fruit and cholla on the left. Under the occidental end of the next comparative but not superlative form of bold. Watch out for folks walking up the trail. below.

Happy hunting.
