Park in the parking lot at the southwest end of Towne Lake, near Interstate 75. Start around the path to your right, or to the south from the parking lot, or counter clockwise around the lake. Look for a sign where the path splits away from the lake-path toward the Community Center Nature Trail. You'll turn off to your right, heading south, toward a bridge. Cross the bridge. Once you get across the bridge, on the left side of the concrete path you'll see a short wooden post with a rounded top, it has some red paint on it.

Continue heading south on the path a few more steps, on the other side of the path, on your right, you'll come to a tree with some red painted graffiti on it. On the opposite, (east) side of the sidewalk path there's a huge old sycamore tree, so you'll know you're in the right place.

Now, walk around to the opposite (south) side of the red graffiti painted tree. Two pair of "Love Birds" have carved hearts and initials into the tree. "HG + AE" in one heart and the other heart holds "BM & SA". Turn back so that you are facing south again, but still standing at the tree with the hearts carved in it.

Look to your right, off the path, toward the southwest. You'll see a tree with a big split in it. It looks like a good hiding place. There's a stump over in that direction too. Walk over to the stump. When you get to the stump turn around with your back to the stump.

Surprise! You are facing ANOTHER tree with a split in it! This is where you'll find our letterbox.

It contains a custom ordered stamp with our custom designed Troop Crest. We chose a custom Troop Crest that combines a heart symbol for love and a the floral wreath for friendship. It is a traditional Girl Scout Shield Shape with a heart shaped floral wreath on it.

Thanks for finding our Letterbox. We look forward to seeing your stamps in our book! Troop 3916!
