Welcome to the search for Deedee the Pig. This letterbox was created by two sisters, ages six and 11. This is what they would like you to know: Deedee is pretty as pink. She has a twirly tail and she likes to roll in the mud. Deedee lives in Poland. She has a secret to share - She is a super pig and she can fly like Santa Claus! She helps people by fighting off super villains, like poverty and hunger. Deedee wanted to drop off a surprise in Poland so you can find it! If you want to find our Deedee the Pig letterbox, follow these steps:

Drive to Heifer International's Overlook Farm at 216 Wachusett St., Rutland. Park near the visitor center, and walk down the path between the big red barn and smaller barn to the left of the red one. When you are past the barn, you should see a big wooden archway. To the left of that is a large patch of bamboo. Further beyond that is a small stone house. That house represents Peru and is the start of the global village trail. Follow the trail. After Peru is a house from Central America. If you continue to follow the trail, you will be able to visit Tibet, and then Kenya. Are you getting tired from your international trip yet? Not too tired, we hope. You are almost at your destination. When you see the next house, a log cabin, you will be in Poland.

Enter the front door of the Poland house. Isn't it nice inside? Have a look around. When you are finished, exit a different door, not the one you came in. Go down the four steps. At the bottom of the steps turn right and take two big steps. Then, turn right again and take four average steps. Now, turn right yet again, kneel down, and look around to see what you can see. The box is hidden under and up. Did you find it?

Before you leave, enjoy looking around at the rest of the farm. Volunteers in red shirts will answer your questions and tell you all about the animals and the work that Heifer does. Inside the visitor center, you can get a free pin, shop in the fair trade gift store, and get a flyer about upcoming events. Thank you for finding Deedee!
