I had planted two letterboxes in the dog park in Tosa behind the Ronald McDonald House. Because of all the construction in the area, it became too difficult to get to, and many dog people stopped going there. I received reports that my stamps and boxes were missing, so I've retired those boxes and have a new one in Currie Park.

This is in memory of my beautiful 15-year-old German Shepherd mix, Katie. She passed away in January and loved going to the dog park. This box is in memory of her. Enjoy it by bringing your dog to Currie Park!

To find the box:

1. Start by entering Currie Dog Park off Capitol Drive, just west of Mayfair Road. Pull into the parking lot.

2. There are two entrances, one of the west side of the lot, one on the east. Go to the east side of the lot.

3. Head up the the hill toward the large wooded area on the east side of the park. You'll probably see a couple of benches at the top of the hill.

4. Once you get to the top of the hill, at the edge of the trees, there is a dirt path at 135 degrees. Follow that path into the woods.

5. Continue following the path at 160 degrees. Up ahead, you'll see a very large teepee of branches. Walk to the teepee. Step around it to your right and walk down the dirt path 23 steps. You'll be going slightly down hill.

6. If you look carefully, you'll see almost a fork in the dirt path. You'll see a large tree on your right. Turn left towards Mayfair Road and walk to the mulch path.

7. You'll see a wire fence that runs parallel to Mayfair Rd. Turn right. You'll be heading south. Go down the mulch path 5 steps.

8. On the right side, you'll see a tree with many small branches that come out of the ground and surround the main base of the tree. At the base of the tree tucked inside all the branches will be the box.

9. To get back to your car after stamping, turn around and walk north on the mulch path. You'll be parallel to Mayfair Rd and you should see the intersection of Mayfair and Capitol Dr. It will automatically curve to the west eventually and you'll see the parking lot.

Lots of muggles! And dogs! Be discreet when stamping. Status updates are welcome on this box!
