50/50 boxes
50% inspiration, 50% signs of the time
These letterboxes are located at Covered Bridge Park in the Town of Cedarburg. This small park is usually very busy, as it is an ideal place to take pictures. With all the Muggles lurking around, please be careful to keep the letterboxes hidden. A compass may be needed for kids. There is nothing more complicated than knowing to walk North, South, East or West.
Box 1—Life
Park in the south lot and then head towards the Covered Bridge. Explore and walk through the beautiful bridge. Underneath the bridge, on the north side there are holes in the foundation. Check these areas for your first letterbox
Box 2—Nobody can bring you peace but yourself
Walk north along Covered Bridge Road to the tree cluster just before the North parking lot. look for an opening inside of the tree cluster to get inside. Box number 2 is located somewhere inside the bramble.
Box 3—Wishing you a day bright with sunshine
Just before you cross the North parking lot driveway there are 2 trees that look like they are growing out of the same base (They look like a “V”). Look where the trees meet for box 3.
Box 4—The sun always shines above the clouds
Cross the North parking lot driveway entrance. There are the remains of a large tree that was cut down. There is 1 large piece and 2 smaller pieces still there. The roots appear to have lifted the ground. This is where letterbox 4 is located.
Box 5—Hello Hello
Head East across the field to a very HUGE tree with an even larger huge rotten log at the base. Another tree must have grown there and all that’s left of it is a large rotting log that is a perfect hiding place for box 5
Box 6—What’s up?
Head South along the tree line. There is a giant tree with a hole at the base. Seems like the perfect hiding spot. Wait! It’s not there! Look on the other side of the tree instead
Box 7—LOL
Cross the pedestrian bridge and head east along the creek towards the bench. Take a moment to sit in the bench and relax. Head out of the clearing south along the creek. Ahead you will see a damaged tree arched down to the creek. Just before this area a tree fell between 2 others on the right. Look along the broken tree for your letterbox.
Box 8—What’s up mustache?
Head back towards the parking lot. Walk along the treeline, keeping the trees on your left and the parking lot on your right. When the boulders lining the parking lot end there are 2 extra large trees on the left hand side. Check here for your final letterbox.
