Our Cub Scout wolf den has been learning about letterboxing and as a group went in search of a few. The boys really enjoyed it and decided to hide our own letterbox.

Tully Lake is a great place to do many things outdoors. You can picnic, fish, hike, play volleyball, disc golf, play on the play structure, swim (not at the boat ramp) and go boating. There is also a campground on the lake.

To get to Tully Lake, start at the center of Athol, MA. Go east on Rt. 2A east onto Rt. 32 North. Follow Rt. 32 north for about 10 minutes and you will come to Tully Lake on your right. Drive into the recreation area towards the boat ramp and park in the small parking lot on your left.

From the parking lot take the Lake Trail. While walking on the trail you will see many signs with information about the area. Continue walking until you come to a fork in the trail. You will see a sign for the Scenic Point. Follow this sign until you come to the moving wall sign. Facing this sign go to the end of the stone wall on your right. The box is hidden in a crevice at the end of the wall in front of a tree. DO NOT move any of the rocks. There is no need. Please be respectful of the area as well. There is a picnic table where you can take your time to stamp. Please re-hide carefully.
