THE TWO TOWERS (WRIGHTS)

Enter the trail at MDC Gate 5, to the right of Bellevue pond.
Shortly after passing the pond, you will reach the intersection of the Skyline Trail (white blazes). There is at least one trail before this, steeper climb to same destination.
Take a right onto the Skyline Trail, and ascend the short steep hill.
The Skyline Trail intersects Tower Rd. near the hilltop.
Bear right to the tower.
If you like the city, you will enjoy the view.
If you like towers, or just being up high, you will enjoy yourself… no matter what.

But where’s the box?...
Descending the tower steps, walk straight to the continuation of Skyline Trail, which U-turns at the tower and follows the ridge.
White blazes are on the ground rocks, yellow surveyors flags assist with trail identification.
Presently traverse a large rock cap (there are two USGS markers in this area).
Follow the gradual downhill trail about another 80 steps (distance according to Tung).
A blazed white oak will let you know when to stop.
26 steps, directly left, will lead you through a small boulder field to a parallelogram rock that conceals that which you seek.
This is a busy area. Leave your thoughts and re-hide well.

How do I get outta here?...
Continue your same direction across the mossy knoll with small pines, and down a short slope to meet Tower Road.
Go right down the Tower Road.
At the bottom of the hill, bear left at the fork to head back to the parking area.
Finish your trip to the right of Bellevue pond, for a different point of view, and a few interesting looks at the tower, from below.

Unfortunately - Due to damage, the tower door gate had been locked since 10/05. Still, there is a nice view from the adjacent rock promontory.
