The Bear Gulch Trailhead is located on the Mesa Falls Scenic Road, about 1 mile south of the Lower Mesa Falls Lookout.

Park in the parking lot for the Bear Gulch Trailhead (there are restrooms in this parking lot).

The hiking trail begins in the southwest corner of the parking lot.

Begin down the trail, a short distance down the trail you will pass between a wooden fence and a metal gate.

Continue to follow the hiking trail into the bottom of the canyon.

When you reach the bottom of the canyon you will see the remaining towers of the old chair lift.

Walk to the tower nearest you, which is the tower with a ladder.

Put your back to the ladder and look directly in front of you. About seven feet in front of you there is a small tree, at the base of the tree there is a pile of rocks. Look here for the letterbox.

Please seal bags and re-hide the letterbox carefully.

Thanks for visiting our Bear Gulch Ski Basin letterbox.
