Route 66 Series—Rainbow Bridge
This box is missing.
The Rainbow Curve Bridge is located on Route 66 just north of Baxter Springs, Kansas. The bridge was constructed over Brush Creek in 1923 and was saved from demolition by the Kansas Historic Route 66 Association and the Cherokee County Committee. It is the only bridge of its kind that remains on Route 66.
Clues
At the east end of the bridge face the north side arch. Spot the 5 foot stump. Approximately five steps from this stump at 334 degrees you will find the box under the roots of a tree that “Vs” (One side of the “V”, “Vs” again while the other side stops dead.) Get your kicks!
