This is a summer school activity that we did and the kids really loved doing it.
Come to the main entrance of the school on 625 chapel rd south Windsor. Find a parking spot in the front of the main entry way to the school. You will see a sculpture of kids holding hands in a circle on an island in the main driveway. This is your starting point.
From the center of the sculpture facing the school look to your right and walk to the no right turn sign. Then spy two yellow rectangular pads for the blind at the cross walk. Walk to the second one. From there turn to the right and walk down the side walk counting 3 lampposts. From the third one turn to the left and walk down the hill to 3 playground stumps. From there look to find the dragonfly see saw. Next to the see saw is a sidewalk. Follow it from there till you come to a black gate. Open the gate and turn to your right. Walk between the black fence and two trees on the left. walk to the 2 evergreen trees and at that point turn right. You should see a small holding pond down the hill to your left. Continue to follow the black fence. As it turns to the right continue to follow it. At that point count 6 leafy trees next to the fence and then 3 pine trees. At the third pine tree look to your 10 o’clock at the wood line and there is a skinny birch tree just on the edge of the woods. Walk down the to it. If you see another pond you have walked a little too far. At this tree u will see an much bigger birch just a little further into the woods. Walk to the bigger birch and to the left of you will be 2 cut logs on the ground. Behind the second log covered in small stick is the letter box. Please rehide where you found it.
