This Letterbox/Geocache Hybrid is located at Burdette Park at the Upside Down House and Magical Garden. The house was created by local artist John McNaughton. McNaughton has made four such houses. The Twisted House sits in the Indianapolis Art Center, another is on display at the Artpark at Niagara Falls, a third is owned by a private collector in Evansville, and the Upside Down House (McNaughton's fourth fantasy house) now lives at Burdette Park.
It also commemorates the old skating rink that used to be located here at Burdette Park. Sadly, in 1992 the rink's roof was deemed unsafe and the decision was made to close it permanently. This is the place I learned to roller skate with my Brownie troop. You could say this started my RINK RAT days!
To find this box, You can park in the lot adjacent to the Upside Down House. You'll need to look under that which you usually go over to stay dry. There are picnic tables nearby for stamping.
If you are also a cacher, feel free to log your find and exchange some swag. Please rehide well. When we placed the box/cache there was not a muggle in sight but, during certain times, mainly weekends, this can be a pretty busy place. Please be stealthy! Enjoy and Happy Hunting!!
