Close to the San Jose Airport!
Founded in 1777 Santa Clara Mission is the 8th California Mission to be built. The prestigious Santa Clara University was founded here in 1861 at this mission and surrounds it. Santa Clara University was the first college in California.
Difficultly Level: Easy, flat
Go to the front of Santa Clara Mission.
After visitng the inside come out the front door
go to your right, and walk through the gate and under the arbor. Take a left to the Sacred Heart statue, then continue to the adobe wall. Just past the adobe wall/walkway is a rock next to the walk. The box is behind the rock under the evergreens. This would be right at the drip line of the roof. Please be sure to rehide carefully, they seem to landscape this place within an inch of their lives!
