This is where it all began....It's the 1st oil well drilled in the U>S>, which became the first oilfield boom-town.
Go to Elizabeth, WV
Drive through the town make a left onto Route 5
Set your odometer watch for 7.5 miles
Note orange bus house the Wirt County Tiger Paw and the Ruble Church sign on the left
Not much farther
At 7.5 miles you should be at Burning Springs Park.
Pull-over to the left side of the road
Read the history landmarker
Walk across the main road and down the wooden stairs, which leads you to the sign-in registration book
Look at your knee caps , under the donation box, you will find me, I'm the camo box.
