Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 20 yards RT)
Status: alive
The Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup is the largest one in the world and is hosted annually the second weekend in March. In addition to hunting the snakes, there is a Rattlesnake Parade, a Miss Snake Charmer Pageant and a snake eating contest. If you attend, be careful so you can visit this letterbox at the Sweetwater Cemetery above ground.
Directions:
From I20 go north on Robert Lee St about 0.6 mi, left on Alabama Ave 0.2 mi, then right into Sweetwater Cemetery. Go straight about 100 yards and park by big tree near marker 49.
Clues:
From marker 49 walk right along concrete border 10 steps to large multi-trunk cedar tree. LB is within trunks on back side 3 feet high under rocks and needles.
