Time: 60 – 90 minutes
Distance: 1.5 miles
Terrain: Mostly level with some gradual hills. Soil conditions are sandy which can make for slippery footing occasionally.
Special note: Markers and multiple colorations HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I’ve been told numerous times that the more colorful the fruit the better it is for you. So we’ve decided to celebrate the many-hued fruits we enjoy by providing you, our many letterboxing friends a chance to collect their images and also take in a little of the great Wisconsin outdoors.

Start your colorful harvest by driving to the ellivsnavE, WI area and find the first westward parking lot of ailongaM ffulB ytnuoC kraP. It will be the first lot on the left. Park your vehicle and look for a trail head just east of the water pump. Head north on it. While you may expect no horses at this point, you should know that they can join you later on in this trek.

At a four way, head to your right, which should be east. As you lope along, you’ll pass some trail hieroglyphics as well as walk under a conspicuous leaner. Finally keep a sharp eye out for a seven foot stump. Behind it are two trees and three rocks between the trees. RED is behind the furthest rock.

Continuing on, you should pass by some more trail hieroglyphics and eventually reach a triangle where another trail merges in. Forge onward to a “Y” split where we will graciously allow you to go left. A right here would help you earn the fruits you collect, but not today….
From this intersection, proceed forty steps where you SHOULD be next to a large rock and tree on the left. Go to the next tree on the left and look for ORANGE nestled in the nearby rock formation under leaves and rocks.

Continue on here past a trail merger to a “T” intersection. From here go left and NOW you earn your way by going UP, UP, UP! Keep on going to another trail merger. Take a hairpin turn onto it and take thirty steps to some downed trees on your left. YELLOW is at the base of the log furthest from the trail.

After collection, return back to the intersection and go a short ways east to a stump and horse hitch. From here tromp on for a ways heading south. When the trail shanks west, stop at some fallen wood on the left. GREEN is behind the second tree at about midpoint.

But we are not DONE! Moving on from here headed west, we soon reach trails on the right, which you should ignore, as well as some trail hieroglyphics. Just past these are some more trails merging in on the right. At this point, notice a many armed tree on your left. BLUE is nestled in the bowels of this tree under a sturdy rock.

Scurry on to a gate and a road, which you will cross. Look for a path that takes you back into the woods. Shortly you reach a “T” where you bear left. There will be another intersection, but stay on the main path as it curves right.

Continue on the trail, glimpsing through the trees a rock ledge above on the right. Eventually you will chance on a grid in the path. Take twelve steps from its beginning and look right. You should spy a rock about twenty-five steps up the slope on the right. VIOLET resides behind it.

From here continue down the path and you should reach your parked vehicle.

Please send us an email to let us know if you had a “fruitful” quest.

Happy trails!
