Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 200 yards RT)
Status: alive
Incorporated in 1881 as a small railroad stop serving the International and Great Northern Railroad, Buda (pronounced "Byoo-dah") has grown from its humble beginnings to a thriving community that stays true to its small town charm and heritage. With more parkland per capita than any city in the state, the Texas State Legislature named Buda the Outdoor Capital of Texas. One good example is Stagecoach Park, a beautiful and historic park with nice facilities, trails and this letterbox.
Directions:
From I35 go west on Main St about 0.8 mile and turn right into Stagecoach Park. Go to the last parking lot and park.
Clues:
Walk north to trail circle just past trail map kiosk. Go left on gravel trail and keep straight at intersection. When trail bends right, go straight into woods about 20 steps to a dead tree and 2 stumps together. LB is between tree and bigger stump on back side under sticks.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
