General Burnside Island State Park is just south of Somerset, Ky in Pulaski County.
As you enter the park you'll cross a bridge and head uphill to the main part of the park. Watch the right side of the road and count the picnic areas.
The first one is across from the pool. Right next to the first picnic spot is a shelter and then another picnic spot with a playground and a porta potty. Continue up the hill and at the third picnic area across from the golf course is where you want to stop and park.
Go directly to the grill and face it as if you're making some yummy burgers. Look to your right and way off in the distance you'll see a house.
Take out your compass and look at 131*. You should see a vague path clearing. Take 28 "Daddy Manzie" steps. (He's about 5'11").
You should be directly in front of an oak tree. Turn to 103*. Take 12 more "Daddy Manzie" steps. You should be at 3 fallen trees that are stacked as they fell. Go to the base of the tree that is laying all of the way ON the ground. It's on the left side of the base, right before the roots.
Please re "bury" the letter box carefully. If not located, please let me know right away, so we can go hunt for it and see if it's there!
