In honor of our first ‘letterbox find’, the Piping Plover’s Revenge, we planted “To the Moon” letterbox in the Beech Forest Area. At the first traffic light going North on Route 6 as you enter Provincetown, take a right toward Race Point. Proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the Beach Forest Parking area on your left. Enter the parking area and go to the far right corner. There you will see the trail sign right in front of you. To the left of the sign will be the entry to the trail. Follow the boardwalk, which turns into a sandy path farther down the trail and then back to boards and back to sand. Continue on the 1 mile trail around the pond until you reach a set of wooden stairs ascending on your left. As you keep the stairs on your left, turn to your right and see the plot of four trees standing together. Go behind the second largest tree and find your prize elevated about two feet off the ground.
