Planted By Vivian the Viking.A year ago this time I had the privilege of visiting Matlacha, a unique artist community with a fishing village past. Everything was exploding with Neon and art bursting from the walls.
I fell in love with a particular inhabitant of Matlacha, Lovegrove Gallery and Gardens. I walked inside and I was immediately overwhelmed with inspiration. This is my own apartment exploded into triple the space and triple the colour. When I left Matlacha in the late afternoon I knew that this was a letterboxers paradise and that it was screaming for a letterbox. I also knew I wanted to share my new favorite place in Florida with others.
I was inspired by the idea of magical fishies, all crazy in design. It fit the fishing village theme and it fit the art theme. And so I carved.
Then one year later........
Today I planed a letterbox at LoveGrove Gallery and Gardens. All you need to do is ask for the letterbox, which is hidden behind the desk.
You will want to check out the art and gardens, they will blow you away. Oh and bring some money, you will want to purchase a memory of this adventure.
I recommend that if you have not been to Lovegrove you don't research it because the element of surprise will just add to the experience.
I am so very thankful that Leoma Lovegrove agreed to let me house the letterbox in her shop so please appreciate every moment of the experience.
