Mallard's Rest is about 12 miles South of Livingston on US 89. The road to the site is fairly steep and rocky, so take it easy.
Once in the camping loop, find the boat launch. There is a stone bench on the right, or upstream, side. Park there and find a large juniper tree behind you and across the road. The box is hidden in the crook where its trunks diverge.
