Distance to Letterbox: About 1 mile Round Trip
After reports of IRA and IMA Boxer visiting the park last year, it seems they left behind their first born to cause trouble for all the nice hikers in the park. Well everyone knows that Bears take care of hikers, keeping them safe from ghosts and devils. Therefore I left behind once of my troopers to make sure you stay safe on your visit. Have fun!
Directions:
From I-35, go west on Hwy 12 for about 1 1/2 miles to intersection with Hunter Road (light). Turn left, then quick right into the parking area.
To the Letterbox:
Start on Dante's trail. at first intersection, go let on Ripheus Trail, and stay on it until you intersect with Dante's trail again. From post, take Dante's trail for 10 steps. Go left off trail for about 5 steps to large cedar tree. Box at back base under rocks.
