This series is cross listed as a Geocache. Another unique feature is that the first box has special "backgrounds" for you to take and stamp on (different colors and blank ones are in the pile) .... We recommend that you bring brush tip markers to ink the stamps, but ink pads are fine, too. Please leave the slips of paper in the boxes... They are for geocachers who are not receiving the clues in one batch as you have 😀

The series won't take you long, and is a very short walk of less than 1/4 mile round trip from your car. Kids would probably enjoy it. Glocester Land Trust says there are underground streams that can be heard on the property. Dogs on leash of otherwise under control are allowed per GLT's website. Do NOT seek these boxes after dusk or before dawn! No boxes are in any stone walls.

Park on Route 102 in Glocester, just south of Hemlock Road, near the Scotstoun Forest sign. This is not far north of Glocester Police. The trailhead is north of the sign, across from Hemlock Road, next to a diamond shaped road sign with an arrow pointing up and right on the west side of the road. On the east side of the road, there's a "Reduced Salt Area" sign. The trail begins on the west side of the road near Pole #124.

The first box is a sandwich sized lock and lock container and is not very snow friendly. The rest of the boxes are small, also not very snow friendly, but should fit a Hitchhiker or two. There are separate logbooks for Geocachers just signing and for letterboxers stamping in.

These boxes are placed with permission of GLT. Pop in your quarters, good luck and don't get too close to any ghosts! They are chasing Pac-Man and he is desperately searching for a power pellet!

1. To begin: follow Inky! He went down the trail 30 steps until he saw a two-sister tree on his left. Then, he saw a large pine further into the woods, also on his left, and went 10 steps to it. He then turned right, directly away from the road, and went 6 steps to a downed tree. Inky is hiding under its base, waiting for Pac-Man! Take a background and stamp Inky on it.

2. Return to the trail to seek Pinky! Continue walking away from the trailhead until you see a ditch lined with large rocks just before the trail curves right. At the line of rocks, Pinky turned left for 8 steps to step over a log, then went 9 more steps towards the ditch, to a tree right against the ditch, with a hole in its base. Pinky is still hiding there, under a rock.

3. Return to the trail, again away from the trailhead, and try to find Blinky and Clyde in one shot! They went past a tall rotting stump on their left, then a white rock on their right, then 14 steps to a large hemlock on the left. They continued another 10 steps, with laurel on their right, then turned right into the woods for 10 steps to a hardwood tree with a void in its base. Blinky and Clyde hid here to await Pac-Man.

4. Return to the trail and proceed away from the trailhead. You've nearly found Pac-Man! He went downhill for 60 steps until he saw a big oval rock on the right side of the trail. He looked to the left side of the trail and spied a large hemlock with a diagonal "seam". He went to it, which took about 26 steps, and then he darted 10 steps diagonally to his right, away from the trailhead and the trail, to a medium tree with a small tree growing from it. There was moss at the base. On this tree there were felt "keys" and a strange old "keyhole". On the "back" of this tree, in a void at the base, Pac-Man waits for you! Hopefully, you brought him a power pellet or two. If you hit a rock wall, you've gone too far.

Hike length: 0.5 miles
