Follow the directions for Hoadley/Pinchot - Diamondhead
LBNA # 68039 and Wisconsin State Stamp LBNA #12383. This is an easy to moderate hike about 3/4 mile to the box and another 3/4 mile back to the parking lot.

Find Wisconsin State Stamp LBNA #12383. Continue North about 100 paces past that box to a fork in the trail and go to the left.

Continue up and down the trail about 240 more paces after you go to the left at the fork. You will go past our box at Hoadley/Pinchot - Diamondhead LBNA # 68039 along the way. I hope you take the time to find it.

At this point the terrain rises on each side of the trail about 20 feet in height, and there is a 2-sister tree just to the left (West) of the trail. Hidden in the space in the tree between the two sisters is the Honu Box.

This box is VERY close to the trail, so PLEASE re-hide it well so muggles will not find it.

Honu is the local name for the green sea turtle which is well known in the history of the Hawaiian Islands. The story of its migration and life around humans is very interesting. You can find them many places around the islands. A few are such regulars at the same beach that they have been given their own names. They are fascinating but also endangered and protected by law. Watch them but stay 25 feet or more away. When you go to Hawaii (and you must go some day), study a little about the Honu before your trip. You will be glad you did.

Hike length: 1-2 miles
