This box is hidden on the Octoraro Creek Trail near the Cecil county side of the Conowingo Dam. If you are coming from the other side of the river, turn right on Md. Rt 222 south and go approximately one mile to the trail parking lot on the right. You'll see a roofed trail map sign.

1) Park in the stone covered lot and begin at the information sign
2) Continue past the sign, down the trail between the large boulders and into the woods.
3) Go past the Boxelder Tree (look for the sign).
4) You will soon pass a yellow gate on your right and approach a large yellow warning sign. The warning sign warns of high water when the alarms sound.
5) Go past the Tulip Tree (look for the sign)
6) You will pass a tree on the left with a hole in the base of its trunk.
7) Stop at the giant tree lying on its side. Are you taller than its trunk?
8) Walk 40 more steps and look for the archway made of vines on your right. Go through the arch and walk toward the water.
9) Look for the lone tree that splits in 3.
10) Turn to the left and look for the fallen tree covered in fungus- under sticks and leaves, there you will find the hidden box.
