This letterbox is part of the GO and Be Active! program in York County, PA. It will be available from June 1, 2016 – August 14, 2016. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
The GO and Be Active! program requires you to search for up to 30 “activities” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression (with a colored pencil or crayon) from the engraved plate onto your GO and Be Active! rubbing sheet, available at any York County Library.
This letterbox is located at Lehr Community Park and should be accessed from the parking lot off Madison Avenue. GO York! level of difficulty = Easy.
• From the parking lot, walk through the pavilion and make a left onto the path.
• Walk past the green wooden recyclable box.
• After the red bike rack on the left, start counting the wooden benches.
• The post can be found around the 7th wooden bench on the left.
• To return to your vehicle, continue straight on the path.
