We chose this beautiful park in Door County, because it features amazing views of Lake Michigan and so many lovely hiking trails. Of course Lake Michigan doesn't have a octopus garden but these carves were inspired by the Beatles song that we overheard before heading up to Door County for the day.
Your journey starts at the Ellison bluff county park rock sign. After reading the donor plaque, take the trail directly to your right heading in a sw direction. When you see the peculiar tree to your left, a curve and a strange thin trunk, stop. Walk 15 paces along the trail. You will notice a huge dead tree to your left leaning about 15 paces off the trail. Keep walking until you see the small trail your right. You will see two trees intertwined in an embrace to your left. Your first box will be at their feet. Head back up to main trail and back up to memorial stone. Walk past the large boulders lining the area where the plaque sign in. Notice the tree stump behind these large boulders? Look inside. Be careful of muggles. Stamp up and tuck back inside. Enjoy the rest of these beautiful trails.
