The Cedarburg bog is home to the legendary big monster. Let's find him before he finds you!
Start at the cedarburg bog state natural area. The trail starts off the right side of the parking area. Make sure to stop at the friends of the bog brochure post to your right. Further up this trail is a map photo. Take note in case the bog monster chases you out. Take the plank walk.... watch out! He's known to lurk about in these kind of places. Stay on this trail. Meet the birches. You might need their protection on this hike. At the fork take the watts lake trail to your left. At the big conifer sign look for the dead stump to the left of the trail. Look inside. You've found the bog monster. And lucky for you he's a friendly monster after all. Stamp up and be sure to put leaves back over top. Head down to the lake or back track to lot.
